FAQs

The best way to heat your soup is to drop the frozen bag in boiling water for approximately 40 minutes.  Carefully remove the bag from the water, cut it open and pour into your serving dish.  The same applies to refrigerated soup- only heat it for 20 minutes on the stovetop.

No, we do not recommend you microwave our bags of soup but prefer you follow the boil-in-bag instructions as mentioned above.

Yes, however we suggest you refer to the label on the cup for microwave heating instructions for proper heating times.

For best results, we recommend you serve your refrigerated soup right away.  But if you’d like to freeze it, you can as long as it is frozen before the use by date on the case.  Once frozen, it will last nine months from that date in your freezer.

No, we do not recommend you refreeze the soup after it has been heated.  The best way to store the soup after it has been heated is to let it cool uncovered till it’s cool (39°F or less), cover, and store in your refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Soups should be held at 140°F  or above and will hold on a steam table for approximately 4 hours.

All Blount’s soups are all ready-to-serve.  No need to add anything – just heat and serve.

We take food allergies very seriously at Blount and if you suffer from a food allergy, we recommend you review each and every ingredient statement carefully before consuming one of our products.  Our manufacturing facility does not use peanuts or tree nuts, but we do have products that contain milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat, and soy.

Our production capabilities are far superior to any in the industry.  Most other soup companies use cans, tray soups (where you have to add cream or water), and or 8lb bags.  We offer convenient 4lb bag (64oz) is only 8/8oz servings and minimizes a kitchens shrink. We have fresh ingredients arriving daily to the Fall River soup plant for product in the same day. Our ingredient statements are some of the cleanest ones you’ll see in the soup industry. We also offer many different types of soups from All Natural, Organic, Wheat Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy Free, and Low Fat.

All of Blount’s heat and serve soups are consistent not only in quality but in price as well.  By switching to Blount, you’ll never lose a batch of soup again due to improper cooling and it saves Chefs’ time.  Any staff member that can boil water can produce consistent soups day in and day out.

Our soups are packed in a convenient 4lb bag (64oz) and minimizes a kitchens shrink.  These two gallon cases allow Chefs to be flexible with soups of the day and provide seasonal soups such as Albondigas, Thanksgiving Everyday and Spiced Pumpkin.

We offer Wheat Free, All Natural, Organic, Vegetarian and Vegan soups that may be time consuming to make.

Blount’s refrigerated soups have a 90 day self-life and frozen soups have 365 days from the date of manufacture.
